TINNITUS

 - If you hear buzzing, whirring, hissing, chirping or ringing inside your ears, you have tinnitus. You won´t go deaf but it is annoying and can cause hearing problems. The usual causes are loud noises such as explosions, gunshots, or it could have been caused by infection or disease. Together with your doctor´s approval, medication, and health care, the following can be used to relieve tinnitus:

A lack of magnesium can also cause tinnitus. Eat lots of spinach, wheat germ, nuts, pumpkin seeds, baked potatoes, bananas, broccoli, seafood and molasses. These foods all contain magnesium and keeps bones strong, aids nerves and muscle function. Vitamin supplements can also be used to increase calcium and magnesium levels.

Reflexology relieves tinnitus by working on the reflexes for the cervical spine, neck and ears in the hands, ears and feet increasing blood flow, clearing blockages and normalizing the affected parts. It will not take very long before you notice the effects, perhaps 1 or 2 sessions or more depending on how serious the condition is.

If your doctor tells you your tinnitus is the result of circulatory problems, try ginkgo. It increases blood flow to brain. Check labels for dosages - usually 120 ml a day of standardized ginkgo extract (GBE - Ginkgo biloba extract). Gingko works slowly and can take several weeks or months before you notice an improvement.
