25-35 years old – ¼ of all men have receding hairlines by 30 years old. Bone mass is at it's peak. Begin doing stretching exercises daily and weight bearing exercise to keep bones strong. Regular exercise will keep metabolism at peak efficiency. Learn to deal with stress now. Learn to eat well now and save yourself prostate problems later.
35-45 years old – The decade of vulnerability, according to Graci . Hormone levels fluctuate, causing testosterone to decrease and possibly leading to prostate enlargement. Sun spots and wrinkles begin to appear from years of overexposure to the sun. The eye lens stiffens, resulting in difficulties with near vision. Smoking, fatty foods, and lack of exercise begin to take their toll.
45-55 years old – self-neglect is beginning to show. More than half of men over 50 experience symptoms of an enlarged prostate, a walnut-sized gland below the bladder.
65 and older – focus now on controlling weight and decreasing LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which rise with age. Work on lower and upper extremity strength, balance and coordination. Keep your brain active with memory games, crossword puzzles, and writing with your non-dominant hand.
