AROMATHERAPY and ESSENTIAL OILS

Aromatherapy certainly relaxes and enhances healing but your body is doing the work of restoring and repairing. The use of essential oils derived from herbs and plants have been used medicinally widely throughout history and for aromatic and therapeutic purposes. Reflexology and the use of aromatherapy are complementary. Current scientific research into the chemistry and medicinal use of certain essential oils confirms their healing potential. Memories can be brought on through the sense of smell giving us the sense of well being through wonderful oils.

Oil of Lavender - lavandula augustifolia
One of the best loved scented herbs, lavender has a calming effect on the nerves. It is one of the few oils you can actually apply directly to the skin. Most oils will cause adverse reactions when applied to the skin.

Zitron - oil of lemons
I put a few drops on my diffuser and it gives the sense that everything is lemony fresh, clean and germ free.

Mint, Wintermint & Friar´s Balsam
These all have the effect of well being, refreshing, soothing, clean, outdoorsy feel. It also opens up the sinuses, & creates a relaxed atmosphere.
