DEEP BREATHING - PRANAYAMA
One of the best known secrets of maintaining health is deep breathing
otherwise known as pranayama in Tantric belief. Taking a full breath
means breathing through the nose to the count of about 8 seconds,
holding the breath for 4 seconds and releasing through the mouth
the first time then only through the nose to another 8 second count.
By doing this four times, twice every day in the morning and before
going to bed at night, you will experience deeper more restful sleep
and have a more positive attitude as well as increased energy. By
breathing this way you cleanse the lungs, oxygenate the blood and
remove carbon dioxide and wastes from the blood and lungs. Try it,
you will feel better and live longer. My clients tell me what great
benefits they have had from deep breathing alone and all of them
feel more positive, energetic and have an easier time when problems
come along. This costs nothing and feels good. Watch out if you
smoke though, you will cough while the lungs get rid of the dirt
you put in them.
There are many ways to breathe through yoga techniques and relaxation,
meditation and natural breathing but only you can make the difference
on how much is good for you. If you get dizzy stop and just relax
for a few minutes, there´s no need to exert beyond what is
a safe limit to prove a point. We all began one step at a time in
life and we still need to take everything one step at a time, make
good judgements on what´s right for us, and living a life
worth living.
There´s some hard choices in life, and when you begin to
understand how life really works, you see it is all so fleeting,
one day here, the next gone. I´m here one day, elsewhere tomorrow,
everything is in flux, and the universe is still expanding, we´re
all still learning the meaning of life and we´re asking so
many questions. Let´s not let life on earth become unbearable.
Like our ancestors, we should venerate nature and live with nature,
not against it.
Everyone needs a chance here and there in life. Mine was coming
out here to live where I´ve always wanted to live since I
was a teenager. Well, I´m not a teenager anymore and I just
want to live where I feel good, and this is it. I love Vancouver
Island and always want to live here. I hope to serve the community
and become part of it while experiencing the lush beauty that surrounds
us all. Keep B.C. Beautiful.
