SIDE EFFECTS

Within 24 to 48 hours after a reflexology session, some people may experience certain cleansing activities as the body adjusts itself to a normal condition. Nasal mucus is often secreted, there may be some diarrhea or increased urination; a bad taste in the mouth or perhaps a rash may be experienced. All of these symptoms are proof that the methodology is working in your body and poisons, toxins and free radicals are being released, naturally. All side effects are a positive sign your body is adjusting itself. Do not worry, the possible effects of cleansing don´t last long, a few days at the most then you will feel the improvements.

No drugs, needles or pain. Anyone and Everyone can benefit from this healing scientific, gentle touch body reflexology.

Everyone´s heard of the old adage “NO PAIN NO GAIN”, this is a myth! It is simply not true that without pain there is no gain. In fact, if there is pain, this is your body´s way of telling you that there is something wrong and you should stop what you are doing immediately and seek help from a professional such as your family physician who can refer you to a specialist.

Any certified reflexologist trained by the Reflexology Association of Canada or its International Associations in the U.S., Europe and Asia would never cause pain to their clients, this would undermine careful research being done on reflexology today. Current research shows that only 3 lbs to 12 lbs of pressure need be applied to achieve results. Causing pain to your clients means you won´t get people coming back for more sessions if they think their reflexologist will make them jump out of their chairs.

If you experience pain during a session, it can indicate more serious problems with your health and you should be consulting your doctor. Alternatively, your reflexologist may need to be told that they are applying too much pressure. Reflexology can only enhance your body´s natural defences, and is completely harmless. Anyone causing pain during reflexology, massage, other therapies or exercise programs such as aerobics or running are now actionable by law. You should not tear yourself apart until you ache all over and everything is painful before stopping and realizing that this is not the way. A little at a time is all that is needed, then progress to more until you are able to walk for long periods of time and exercise moderately, no bouncing up and down, this is not good for anyone and you won´t lose a pound doing it.

Only lifestyle changes and Hypnotherapy can really make a difference in your health if you are chronic. Reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture & Reiki will certainly relieve the symptoms for a period of time but without change in habits whether that is cigarettes, food, drugs, sex, or alcohol, there can be no improvement in one´s health without giving at least some of these up. Remember, everything in moderation. You can enjoy all that life has to offer if you can keep yourself from getting too addicted to anything.
