REFLEXOLOGY ROOM

A relaxing atmosphere for a pleasurable experience. I have a table which is just the right height for me to work in a clean environment. Nice relaxing music, good company and warm, healing energy.

I want to help people enjoy life better through improved health. I like talking with and listening to people and enjoy the positive reactions people have when they know it´s not going to hurt and they relax. While there is no real pain, there are those “ouch” spots with most people which are sensitive but must be reflexed. The minor discomfort will pass very quickly and the good feelings you will have after are all very much worth a little passing ouch.

I work in my apartment, running a home business with the kind permission of the City of Nanaimo. Hopefully I will stay in business thanks to your support.

I also like to teach my clients how they can work on themselves to relieve headaches, toothaches, stress and increase their energy as well as improve digestion and any part, organ or gland of the body.

Certified reflexologists charge anywhere from $25 to $35 for 1/2 hour, $50 per hour. Housecalls - $50 & up in Nanaimo. Additional more intense massage can cost up to $80 for a full body massage + GST.

- All sessions include warm-up, full foot or hand massage, full head to toes treatment using unscented, water-based lotions (or your preference using oils or scented, anti-stress lotions.

- Natural source products are used. Lotions are used for the full body reflexology and can also be applied after a session especially for dry skin problems, calluses, corns etc. Peppermint foot lotion containing tea tree oil (an antiseptic) is also often used. My mother used to say she was allergic to the sun since she´d start sneezing when she went outside on a sunny day. This has come true for me too but is far more irritating when strong scents are involved.

- For foot baths I recommend rosewater, glycerine or any other foot soaks you may wish to use. Generally oils, lotions and mineral waters are only applied after a session, never before or during a session. Most powders, lotions or oils will block the pores and the full benefit from hands-on healing would be diminished if these were used liberally during a session.

There are several schools of thought between different massage techniques. Invariably, some lubricant must be used on different parts of the body, however, I don´t use them on the hands, feet or ears where all the reflexes are located in those specific areas.
